Hunter Richards Racing Off To Rough Start

23 06 2011

Hunter Richards and the Hunter Richards’ racing team got off to rough start to the Bandolero Division season. Hunter opened the season at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Summer Shootout.  During his first race Hunter got into a wreck, damaging his vehicle.  The car was fixed and Hunter went on to race in the Feature where Hunter’s car continued to take a pounding to the point where the front end came off. This took Hunter out of the race.

This week Hunter raced at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The temperatures at the race were recorded at 99 degrees making driving conditions extremely volatile for the drivers. Hunter and the rest of the drivers had a difficult time getting a grip on the track due to the high temperatures. Despite the heat Hunter was able to start the race strong passing four cars until he got side swiped sending him to the grass where he collided with the safety barrier.

Hunter thankfully was uninjured however the force of the impact bent the rear axle and tore off the right front tire as well as damaging the cars’ suspension.  HNR racing will have their work cut out for them as they try to repair the vehicle in time for next weeks race at Concord Motorsports Park.  Hunter certainly benefited from using The MitiGator considering it was put to the test the past few weeks.  The cushioning provided by The MitiGator gave Hunter sufficient protection from the violent impacts of the last few races.   You can watch Hunter and Bandolero races on Speed TV when the Winter Heat series kicks off this fall.

On-board camera angle from the MitiGator Ford Fusion

6 05 2011

It’s been a while since the MitiGator Ford Fusion has been on the track, as the team Gibson Motorsports is making a transition to ARCA. But the videos are still on our YouTube page. I was looking through them today and came across this on-board camera that we equipped looking at the driver. You can really tell just how rough the track is from this angle. Luckily we have equipped the seat with the MitiGator Cushioning system that is designed to absorb and dissipate the energy away from impacts and vibrations.

The MitiGator Cushioning System is a great fit for a sport like Stock Car Racing because the vibrations and impacts that these drivers usually experience. The MitiGator has been proved to cut down on Whole Body Vibration by over 60%. The drivers that have used the MitiGator inside their seats have reported a big difference when compared to just sitting on normal foam.

So check out the video below, and if you have any questions about the MitiGator Cushioning System email us at MediaRelations@MitiGatorinc.com

Absolutely Extreme Motorcycle Rider – Photoshopped?

21 04 2011

Real or not?

I just saw this photo of a motorcycle rider who seems to be texting or checking his email while he is riding his motorcycle down the road. It really makes me wonder a couple of questions: The obvious first question I had is whether or not it is real. I have my doubts, but it does have features that make it seem real.

But the second question I have is, does this guy have a death wish? How can someone have such a disregard for his health, and future?

If you ride, you understand how dangerous this is. And I doubt that you would be caught doing this. If you do own or ride motorcycles make sure you check out MitiGatorinc.com. Last year you might remember we outfitted a ATV seat with the MitiGator Cushioning System, you can watch the video by clicking here.

The ATV seat that was equipped with MitiGator saw great results, and completely took away the lower back pain that I had experienced from riding. the MitiGator is designed to absorb and dissipate the energy from impacts and vibrations that the road can produce. This same technology can be installed in your motorcycle seat, as a way to make it more comfortable, and safer.

Extreme Sports Can Be Extremely Dangerous… Yes Even Skateboarding

14 04 2011

Last week we asked you what your extreme sport of choice was. I can assure you that mine is not the Mega Ramp. If you don’t know what the mega ramp is, it is a skateboarding extreme ramp. In the summer X-Games of 2007 Jake Brown was attempting a impressive trick (which he pulled off) but when he reached the top of the ramp he lost control of his board and then plummeted 50 feet to the ground. He hit the ground so hard that his shoes flew off his feet. You can watch the scary crash below.

This is why no matter what you are doing that is extreme, make sure you protect yourself from injury. If you haven’t taken a look at MitiGatorinc.com yet, it’s time you did. They manufacture the MitiGator Cushioning System. This material can be outfitted in helmets, knee pads, skin guards, and the list could go on. What seperates it from typical foam or padding that you will find in other protective equipment is the MitiGator is designed to absorb, and dissipate the energy created from impacts away from the user or user’s area that it is protecting.

A great example of this is the MitiGator paintball test which you can watch below.

For more information on the MitiGator you can visit MitiGatorinc.com or send us an email at MediaRelations@MitiGatorinc.com

What is your Extreme Sport of Choice?

8 04 2011

Is their anything that gives you more of a thrill than extreme sports? Since the mid 90’s extreme sports have become so popular that they sparked their own form of olympics in 1995 called the X-Games. This brought a lot of the extreme sports into the world view.

Since that time extreme sports have done nothing but grow. But as more people started to experience these extreme sports more people were exposed to the dangers of them. My own brother actually sustained a concussion this winter when he crashed while riding a snowboard.  Was he wearing a helmet?… Of course not.

But he is not in the minority, look up and down any slope and you will see so many people not wearing any type of protection at all. Yet every year thousands of people are injured every year.

Whatever your extreme sport of choice is, first off make sure you wear some type of impact protection. But also make sure you take a look at the MitiGator cushioning system. The MitiGator is designed to absorb impacts and vibrations. We design the MitiGator into helmets, kneepads, shoes, and body armor to name a few. The possibilities are endless when it comes to what it can be used in.

So if you have an extreme sport of choice and you want to make things safer for you, then send us an email at MediaRelations@Seasgroup.com to find out more information on the MitiGator Cushioning System. Be safe out there!

The MitiGator™ Technology is an engineered cushioning system designed to protect people and equipment from these assaults and to allow them to continue to perform their jobs or enjoy their leisure time. Anquan Boldin’s helmet to helmet collision.

31 03 2011

The NFL is always known for its insane collisions. This year however the NFL has really cracked down on the helmet to helmet collisions because of ones like the one featured in the video below. The video is borderline disturbing. These types of collisions are expected in the NFL, but its never easy to watch. This is why if you play football at all or has family or friends that play you need to take a look at the MitiGator cushioning system.

Unlike the traditional foam, or padding that is in the current football helmets, The MitiGator is designed to absorb and dissipate the energy from impacts and vibrations, and it can easily be outfitted inside a helmet to protect players from these type of impacts. Foam and padding isn’t designed to dissipate energy from impacts. In fact sometimes a padding will actually increase the energy from an impact due to the rebound effect once it is compressed. So if you have any questions about MitiGator email mediarelations@MitiGatorinc.com and we can answer any questions you have. And don’t forget to watch the video.

How can the MitiGator cushioning system help you?

11 03 2011

…No really, we want to know! On this blog we like to show you different ways that the MitiGator cushioning system can help you enjoy all of your extreme sports, by helping battle against the impacts and vibrations that are commonly associated with your extreme sport of choice. The MitiGator is designed to absorb and dissipate energy from impacts and vibrations. We have seen such great results by building the MitiGator into the application, for instance our ATV seats made such a huge difference of cutting down on the lower back pain that came with riding the ATV.

But now we want to know what is your extreme sport of choice? If you battle pain that you believe is caused by vibrations and impacts then we can find a way to help you. Email me (John@MitiGatorinc.com) and we can find a way to help battle that pain by building MitiGator into the application.

On-board video of an amazing sprint car crash.

24 02 2011

Sprint Car racing can be an extremely dangerous, in my opinion it is the most dangerous form of racing out there. Here is an onboard video of a vicious wreck at the Knoxville nationals. The driver hit so hard that it actually popped his visor open, and then he hit again and it actually closed his visor. This guy could of used the MitiGator cushioning system in his racing seat. This is a perfect example of why I have it outfitted in my racing seat. I would of liked to of interviewed this driver the day after this accident to see how his back felt after the accident. The foam that is in the bottom of these alluminum seats arent designed to absorb and dissipate the energy from impact like the MitiGator is able to.
